We are now a Zero Waste event

This year we’re not just upping our game on the courts, but we’re also upping our sustainability efforts. In alignment with DPR’s goal of becoming a Zero Waste Company by 2030, our goal is to make this year’s Cornhole Classic a Zero Waste Event.

Initiatives include source-separation of all waste and food organics with the intent to achieve 95%+ diversion from landfills, use of reusable cups, compostable food packaging and utensils, and 3-stream waste stations throughout with volunteers to assist with sorting and education.

What started as a friendly cornhole tournament has grown into a major force for good. This year, DPR’s Sacramento office celebrated 10 years of the Cornhole Classic by raising $75,000 to uplift local youth through the Sacramento Youth Center and the Boys & Girls Club of Placer County.
